Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday that Ankara is determined to increase trade with Bulgaria to 10 billion euros a year.
This was made in a tweet posted by Chausoglu, on his Twitter account, commenting on his meeting with Turkish businessmen, as part of his visit to the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
The business world is a focal point for strengthening cooperation between Turkey and Bulgaria, He said.
"We are determined to strengthen our economic and trade relations with Bulgaria and raise trade to 10 billion euros," he added.
Trade between the two countries has now exceeded 3 billion euros, according to Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva, in an interview with Anatolia.
Chausoglu is on an official visit to Sofia on Thursday and Friday, where he will discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of common concern with Bulgarian officials.
