Turkey's exports jump in June, deficit falls

Turkey's statistical deficit fell 17 percent year-on-year in June to $2.846 billion under the general trade system, the Turkish Statistics Institute said Wednesday.

Turkey's exports jumped 15.7 percent and imports rose 8.3 percent compared to June 2019, reflecting a recovery in economic activity that fell sharply during a year-long isolation to curb the coronavirus outbreak in recent months, he said.
