Masood Okozuz, president of the Association of Glassware Manufacturers in Turkey, said his country aims to export $4.6 billion worth of products in the sector.
He added that the glassware sector witnessed a wide spread of vitality last summer, and said they expect more activity in it, with the advent of New Year's celebrations.
Turkey's glassware exports reached USD 3.84 billion in the first 10 months of this year, he said.
At the importing level, Oxoz said the UK accounted for 10 percent of Turkey's glassware exports this year, but the lion's share was the US, which accounted for 44 percent of the sector's total exports.
The main importers of products in the sector were Germany, France, Italy, Italy and Egypt.
He said they plan to grow by 15 percent next year.
